Grimes Chamber & Economic Development

Small Town. Big City.

Welcome to Grimes, Iowa, a community that combines the best of both worlds. Grimes is located in the Greater Des Moines Metro area, but retains the charm and character of a small town while offering access to the services and conveniences of a much larger community.

Because of its prime location at the interchange of Highway 141 and Interstates 80 and 35, Grimes has great transportation to anywhere you want to go, whether in the Metro or anywhere in the country. Downtown Des Moines is only a 25 minute drive and there are a multitude of shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences both in Grimes and within a 10 minute drive.

Whether you're searching for a great place to live, a profitable business location, or both, Grimes has everything a family and company needs. We have several development sites with great interstate access

So take a closer look at Grimes. We think you'll agree that it's the perfect mix of big city and small town.
